Mission Statement

ArchVista provides compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health and addiction treatment to St. Louis, Missouri and neighboring communities, offering 24/7 assessments and comprehensive care for individuals with mental health and substance use needs. We are committed to transparency, clinical excellence, and supporting our patients’ recovery in a modern, welcoming environment.

Our evidence-based treatment philosophy

  • Rapid psychiatric assessment

Psychiatrists evaluate patients within 24 hours on physician-staffed admissions, starting medication immediately to prevent withdrawal complications and psychiatric crisis deepening.

  • Non-restraint trauma-informed care

ArchVista uses zero mechanical restraints. Staff employ sensory carts (stress balls, aromatherapy), therapeutic atriums, and compassionate communication for crisis de-escalation. This approach eliminates re-traumatization from forced interventions.

  • Evidence-based therapy integration

Clients receive CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches. Minimum four daily groups plus weekly individual counseling ensure therapeutic intensity matches clinical needs across all program levels.

  • Complete continuum under one roof

The 92-bed facility houses detox, acute psychiatric, residential, PHP, and IOP. Clients progress through levels without facility transfers. Clinical teams maintain continuity throughout treatment.

  • Individualized treatment planning

Licensed therapists conduct comprehensive assessments to determine program level. Treatment teams (psychiatrists, medical providers, therapists, nurses, case managers) meet weekly to adjust interventions. Clients develop Individualized Wellness Recovery Plans to maintain post-discharge healing.

  • Family partnership

Staff contact families within 24 hours (with consent). Weekly family programming provides mental illness education, communication skills, and stress management. Families participate in counseling and discharge planning.

  • Dual diagnosis expertise

ArchVista treats co-occurring mental health and substance use simultaneously. Psychiatrists distinguish psychiatric symptoms from substance effects within 24 hours. Medications target both conditions. Therapy teaches skills for mental health and addiction recovery.

Our clinical approach

  • Cognitive and behavioral therapies

CBT helps clients identify thought patterns that maintain depression, anxiety, and addiction. DBT teaches emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness—essential for clients with intense emotions or self-harm histories.

  • Motivational and solution-focused work

Motivational Interviewing resolves change ambivalence through non-judgmental exploration. Solution-focused therapy identifies client strengths, past successes, and concrete goals, building confidence.

  • Medical and psychiatric integration

Our medical director specializes in dual diagnosis. Psychiatric evaluations occur within 24 hours. Weekly psychiatrist rounds monitor medications. Medical providers conduct physical examinations and manage conditions impacting mental health or substance use.

  • Group therapy and peer support

Minimum four daily groups cover trigger identification, relapse prevention, coping skills, anger management, communication, stress management, and self-esteem. 12-Step AA programming integrates into schedules.

  • Holistic wellness practices

On-site gym facilities support fitness activities. Wellness programming emphasizes nutrition’s mental health role. These approaches address trauma’s physical manifestations.

Our core values

  • Inspiring hope

Curriculum targets mental health recovery and sustained wellness. Level of care assessments meet clients where they are. Personalized approach demonstrates recovery through achievable steps.

  • Restoring peace of mind

A non-restraint facility eliminates the fear of forced intervention. Sensory carts provide self-directed grounding. Therapeutic spaces offer refuge. Staff use compassionate de-escalation over control.

  • Healing lives

Coordinated discharge connects clients with outpatient therapists, psychiatrists, peer support, sober living, vocational resources, and family services. Case managers ensure care continuity.
